Beyonce Pens Letter to Kentucky Attorney General in Regards to Breonna Taylor
Typically when you see Beyonce trending in the news, it’s for a public appearance or new music, not writing letters to government.
She penned a letter to Kentucky Attorney General and points out that it has been three months since Breonna died and the police officers who shot and killed her on an incorrect no-knock warrant are still employed by the police department.
“Your office has both the power and the responsibility to bring justice to Breonna Taylor, and demonstrate the value of a Black woman’s life,” @Beyonce wrote https://t.co/rVJjF6mRDL

Beyonce outlined three things she as well as the public are demanding.
1. Bring criminal charges against the three police officers.
2. Commit to transparency in the investigation and prosecution of the three officers.
3. Investigate the response as well as the practices that led to Breonna’s death and the repeated deaths of unarmed Black citizens.
She closed the letter by saying, the next three months can not look like the last three months.
“Take swift and decisive action in charging the officers. The next months cannot look like the last three,” she wrote. https://t.co/zFzP1FDoZe
