“Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek says he’s completed chemotherapy for stage 4 pancreatic cancer and will continue to tape shows for the show’s 36th season.

The news comes just six months after Trebek revealed he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  “Jeopardy!” posted a video yesterday on Twitter showing Trebek back on set promising “a good year” ahead.

He said,“I’ve gone through a lot of chemotherapy. Thankfully, that is now over. I’m on the mend and that’s all I can hope for right now.”

Trebek credits his incredible progress with not just the help of medicine, but also the love of his fans.  He actually started work again on July 22nd, his birthday. New episodes of the upcoming 36th season are slated to air on September 9th.
