A 97-year-old former cheerleader in central Michigan got to relive her glory days.
Her name is Ilagene Doehring and she helped form Merrill High School’s first cheer team 80 years ago. She felt bad other schools had cheerleaders and her school didn’t, so she started a squad. She even helped create the first uniforms!
Ilagene Doehring, 97, was a member of the school’s very first cheer team and said she wanted to put on a uniform one last time. https://t.co/5WIfFccxO9
