8.2 Million Cash App Users Affected By Data Breach

A data breach of the popular payments app Cash App affected more than 8.2 million customers, the company says.

Parent company Block Inc. says the breach took place last December when a former employee downloaded internal information, including full names and account numbers.

Other information like usernames, passwords, access codes, or Social Security numbers were not affected.

The company says affected customers are being notified.
