The number of U.S. states suing Google has reached 36. Thirty-seven if you count Washington D.C.

The antitrust suit filed by the states claims the Internet giant engaged in illicit business practices by paying game developers to peddle their apps through Google Play exclusively, according to court documents.

Google is no stranger to antitrust lawsuits – since October, four have been filed against the company.

If what Google did is illegal, why aren’t its executives charged with a crime instead of being named in a lawsuit?
